ISSA Cressy Single-handed Nationals 2021-22 (Status Update on 9/17/21)

The ISSA Board of Directors is working on major changes to the 2021-22 ISSA Cressy Single-handed Nationals Championships that was scheduled to occur in Seattle, WA on October 30-31, 2021. The event will not occur on those dates at that location. Numerous options are “in the works” and final determination is not expected for at least a couple of weeks. Because of these changes and the “influx” status the following amendment to the Notice of Race for the PCISA Single-handed District Championships on September 25-26, 2021 at the US Sailing Center – Long Beach, CA is being issued:

Amendment #1 to the Notice of Race
2021 PCISA District Single-handed Championships
Issued September 17, 2021

GENERAL CHANGE TO Notice Of Race

ALL references to ILCA 7 (Laser Full Rig) are deleted from the Notice of Race with the exception of those references mentioned in the Amended NOR Item # 11 as below.

3. FORMAT & ELIGIBILITY

All text from NOR Item #3 in the original NOR is deleted and replaced with the following:

The event will be sailed in one fleet ILCA 6 (Radial). Properly registered (2021-22 ISSA/PCISA) teams may enter as many eligible competitors as desired. Boys and girls are eligible.

11. TROPHIES

All text from NOR Item #11 in the original NOR is deleted and replaced with the following:

Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishing teams/competitors in this regatta.

Berths to the 2021-22 ISSA Cressy National Championships will be assigned by the PCISA Board of Directors when the number of berths and fleet designations are finalized by ISSA. Berths in the ILCA 6 (Radial) Fleet will be assigned in the order of finish from the PCISA District Championships. If PCISA has berths to an ILCA 7 (Full Rig) Fleet the board will use the results from the District Championships as well as other factors (ie. Resume, Body Size, etc.) to select representatives. ONLY competitors in the 2021 PCISA District Single-handed Championships will be considered for berths to the National Championships.
